Auditing a class allows you to attend and participate in a class without earning credit or receiving a grade.
When you audit a class, your transcript will show NC (No Credit) in place of a grade for the class. Audited classes do not count toward academic credit, degree requirements, or enrollment certification. They also do not affect your GPA.

Audit tuition is assessed at a rate of $25 per credit hour. In addition to tuition, the Student Services Fee is also charged to auditors. Specific fee rates can be found in the University Fee List (filter for “Mandatory” fee type). Occasionally, classes have special fees (for materials, etc.) that are charged regardless of whether a student is taking the class for credit or audit.

After you submit your request, we will contact the class instructor to seek authorization on your behalf.
If you are approved, and if seats are available, you will be registered as an audit-only student during or after the first week of the term.
